Additional Information
The track was surfaced with material from the track at the nearby Churchill Playing Fields when this was upgraded to synthetic although the track is shown on a 1972 OS map which indicates it existed long before this surfacing. Unfortunately the surface was laid the wrong way up and so it is almost always flooded. The track is marked in the summer but is rarely used because of the proximity of the Churchill one. It is believed to have 5 or 6 lanes. The infield is a cinder hockey pitch.
