The track opened on 23rd September 1990. The SP sector appears to be downhill. The track's most famous user is the decathlete Dean Macey. In April 2003, the track was closed due to the lack of a valid certificate. Some repair work was carried out later in 2003 and is now open for running training but very restricted field events.
