The track is in poor condition with bad drainage but it is still used by Crowborough Runners. It is the responsibility of the council even though it is adjacent to the Leisure Centre which includes a swimming pool. In 1999, there were plans for a ?1.2 million development of the recreation ground to include a 400m synthetic track, floodlit football pitch and astro-turf pitch but these plans seem to have fallen through.
