Steyning Leisure Centre Track
This is a 266m training track around the outside of the tennis courts. It is 2m wide and has relatively square bends. It cost about ?11000 and was jointly paid for by Steyning AC and the Sports Council. The surface is similar to that used for all-weather tennis courts but a lot of it had to relaid to get rid of surface water. The Leisure Centre was called Steyning Sports Centre prior to the opening of the swimming pool in 2000. The works for this meant that the home straight of the track had to be relaid. The track is mainly used for race-walk training and also by local joggers. It isn't really suitable for fast running because of the tight bends.
