RAF Locking Stadium
This redgra track was used for several open meetings and inter-counties matches in the 1960s. The RAF base closed in September 1999 and as of September 2003 is under redevelopment. The track and the stand are however still there but he track is overgrown with weeds because it hasn't been used for about 15 years but is still useable. When the RAF were still there, Weston AC made enquiries about using the track (when it was in a better state) but security considerations at the time prevented any progress. However they are contacting English Partnerships who now own the track to see if they will renovate and redevelop the track and spectator stand. They have been told not to hold their breath but are working on it.
