Park Hall Stadium
The track was built as part of the Park Hall Barracks Army Camp which closed over 25 years ago. It was taken over by Shropshire County Council and more recently by Oswestry Town Council. The infield is the football pitch of Oswestry FC. The track is mainly used by the junior section of Oswestry Olympians whose athletes make up a large part of the county team. The track was relaid with a new redgra surface in May 2000 in place of what was reported to be a kind of slag. Extra seating was also added and a synthetic LJ/TJ runway built which should be usable by June 2000. The revamped facility will be officially opened on 29th June but it was open for training since May 2000.
