Oundle School Track
The track is redgra and was built in 1970. The Northants Champs were held here in 1983. The track itself is in good condition and the lanes are marked in the summer but some of the field events are in less good condition - the HJ fan is overgrown and the PV runway is unusable. The infield is a cinder all-weather pitch so no long throws are possible inside the track. There is however what appears to be JT runway near the water jump but it points towards the side of the track which suggests it is more of a path. There is a small announcer's hut which looks a bit like an Oast House and is dedicated to the memory of Sir Joseph Simpson KBE, a former commissioner of the Metropolitan Police. The entrance and car park to the track is the same as that for the Sports Hall is on Milton Road which is off New Street.
