King George's Field Track
This track has a red blaes surface and is 590m length and surrounds two football pithces. Although it is oval shaped, the straights are relatively long and it has tight bends. It is mainly used for casual running and is 4m wide (about 3 standard lanes) all round. No formal athletics events take place here. One of the pitches within the track has had its centre circle strengthened and is used a helipad to serve the new Wishaw General Hospital, built adjacent to the sports pitches.
