Additional Information
The track is owned by Vale Royal Borough Council and is set in large grounds with tennis courts, grass pitches and an 18 hole golf course. In 2001 floodlights were installed on both sides of the track. In August 2004, the track surface is to be renewed with several hundred tons of shale. The track is generally maintained to a good standard by the groundsmen from the golf course. The track is kept weed free and is even raked on request. The field event facilities are however reported to be in poor condition and not maintained.
