Craik Park
The track was built in 1972 and is on Morpeth Common around the football pitch used by Morpeth Town AFC and is still used for training but not competitions. The football club moved to the ground in 1994 and named the place Craik Park. Since then they have built a covered stand, a new clubhouse, installed floodlights and erected a high fence around the ground to protect their investment. The track is only maintained intermittently and the field event facilities are limited and in very poor condition. The site is a possible one for the provision of a synthetic track but there are no firm plans at present.
