Gordonstoun School is about 4 miles north of Elgin near the village of Duffus. The track has existed since at least the late 1950s. The school is intending to seek lottery money and sponsorship to upgrade the track to synthetic with floodlights and changing facilities. It may then allow the public to use the track but at present it is private. Trees overhang the track and can block the outmost lane. The infield is the first XV rugby pitch so the long throws are external to the track. There is some debate as to whether Gordonstoun is actually a place so have listed the track under Duffus.
