The track was built in 1970 at the same time as the school which was originally called Netherley School. It changed name to Lee Manor High School in the 1990s but was closed in 2000. The track is in very poor condition and badly overgrown except for a thin line around the inside lane and clearly has not been used for some while. Netherley is a large council estate.
