Additional Information
The track was originally cinder (although it is not shown on an 1971 OS map) and was upgraded to synthetic in 1986. The pavilion was opened in 1997 by Steve Backley who regularly trains here. The track is managed on behalf of the council by Dartford Harriers AC trading under the name of Central Park Athletics (CPA) Ltd., PO Box 19, SWANLEY, BR8 7ZX. The SP area was refurbished in 1999. The entrance to the track is on Cranford Road which is a turning off Lowfield Road next to the swimming pool.
