The track is believed to have been built in the 1960s. Sale Harriers used to be based here but now operate from Wythenshawe Park although the juniors still train here in the summer. The track is in fair condition and the lanes are usually marked. There is a clubhouse which has two levels, with three rows of seats on the lower level.
