Kelvin Hall International Sports Arena
The Kelvin Hall was originally a venue for various exhibitions, circuses, fairgrounds & carnivals before being converted for use exclusively as a sporting arena and was opened by H.M. The Queen on 9th March 1988. It is a 5 lane, banked 200m indoor track. The lanes are alternatively coloured blue and grey. There is also a 6 lane 60m straight in the middle of the track, a warm-up track around the edge of the main track and a 40m warm-up area upstairs. The track surface is Mondo Sportflex Super X Classic. The 60m straight was refurbished in early 2005.
